Hm, Martel, if you don't mind me asking: what's the point of the Ragnarok tears, if they just exist to re-awaken the ancient evil force? Do they serve another purpose?

Archer@: The Ragnarok Tears are the soul peices of Ragnarok, each one possessing a different emotion and holds a certain amount of memories in each one. So, yeah, they're only there to reawaken Ragnarok when all ten are united.

As we all know, the body cannot live without mind/soul. =3

I never really thought about giving them another purpose. ^^;

Name: Major Destino Rovina

Alias: Mjr. Rovina

Clothing: Wears a full Gewehr Officer's uniform, proudly displaying the patches that signify her rank as a Major. The uniform is completely black, except for red embroideries and buttons. Her cap, gloves, and dress shoes follow this motif.

Weaponry: On her side is a well-decorated, traditionally made officer's saber. The hilt is composed of ivory, and is gilded, the blade is plated with highly-polished chrome-nickel steel, and the scabbard is made from ivory decorated with gold.

Personality: Startlingly arrogant, even more so than Maxim. She is also very critical of others, vocalizing her disappointment very much when others fail to perform up to her high expectations. She is even critical of superiors; the only one she appears to have any respect for is Maxim.

History: The daughter of wealthy tax-collector Nobilta Rovina and his wife Sfortuna Rovina. She was raised alone by her father, as her mother died of complications after giving birth to her. As a member of the wealthy Rovina family, Destino was constantly pampered and treated well, to the point of spoiling her. She was well-used to the treatment, up until she was 12, when Nobilta met a mistress named Conflitto Afflizone.

The mistress gradually forced Destino out of house and home by subtly influencing Nobilta to cut her off, concluding in Destino being disowned by her father. Destitute, she retreated to the slums, the only place she was afterwards accepted. She spent 7 years of her life as a beggar, until Gewehr Soldiers arrived in Zanark to recruit for the Military force. Seeing there was no other option if she wanted to survive, she enlisted as an officer. However, her family's reputation catapulted her quickly over the year to the rank of Major, soon to be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

It is of related note that the mistress Conflitto was found dead not long after Rovina became an officer, a single bullet having severed her spine at the neck. Then a Captain, Rovina was a primary suspect in following investigations, but when investigators began to disappear in the attempt to investigate into her, the case was dropped very quickly.

Currently, Rovina is in command of her own, special branch of the Gewehr military force. They are known as the Gilded Arms, and all of them answer directly to Rovina; members of the Gilded Arms are easily distinguishable from regular members of the Gewehr forces by the black and gold liveries of their armor. Rovina's reach and influence, however, seems to extend much further than she lets on.

Clothing: Wears standard Gewehr Armor with Rovina's black and gold livery. The armor is of typical Gewehr design otherwise.

Weaponry: Uses a pair of Genji swords and throwing knives attached to small chains, all of which are made from a chromatic, red metal. He is also given a high-accuracy variant marksman's rifle, which is equipped with a high-grade telescopic sight and a bipod.

Personality: Places duty above all, and being in a practically permanent contract under Rovina's service, he takes her orders and fulfills them to the fullest. He does have some sense of pride concerning his own people though, and defends and maintains that pride, even if it violates direct orders from his employer.

History: A childhood friend of Kaigo Dekisokonai, both were extremely competitive students who continually tried to outdo eachother, especially in the schools of Fungeki's martial arts. He and Kaigo were both the best disciples of the Fungeki's own specialized art, a method of unarmed and armed combat that takes advantage of great levels of spatial awareness and extreme, precise strikes. Both graduated, and despite the fact that he had professed an interest in becoming her husband aftr, she flatly refused. Both became increasingly distant after that time, Mujihi remained in Fungeki, taking up tpical Genji mecenary duties, while Kaigo used her newfound skill in a similar, but much more noble fashion.

Mujihi was first to discover that Kaigo had been teaching an outsider the Fungeki martial arts, and alerted the elders of Fungeki. He expected her execution, but the elders decided otherwise, they exiled Kaigo. Enraged by their decision, Mujihi began what was almost a decade-long manhunt for Kaigo, determined to enforce the punishment he felt Kaigo deserved for alienating Fungeki, and by extension, all Genji. He would eventually find her in a small town called Dreisenn on the opposite continent, married to a human, and with a young halfling-daughter.

After murdering Kaigo, he attempted to abduct her daughter, to carry her back to the elders to try as evidence of what treachery happens when trespasses of the honor of the Genji are made. His attempt was thwarted by a young human man carrying a relatively new innovation at that time, a revolver pistol. Mujihi was severely injured by the young man, and barely escaped with his life after. Mujihi returned to Fungeki, and pleaded his dilemma to the elders in hopes of sympathy, and a larger force to go and capture or kill those who interfered with his ultimate goals. The elders instead were greatly displeased and offended by his actions, and Mujihi himself was exiled for murdering Kaigo.

Mujihi returned to Dreisenn some time later with the intent to finish the task he began years ago, only to find the town had grown rapidly. There was no sign of the man who shot him, or the daughter of Kaigo. He wandered the region for years, until he ran into an officer of Gewehr, a then Captain Rovina. They discussed, and soon, Mujihi was put into Rovina's private employ. His first task, to kill her mother-in-law, a task which he completed to Rovina's full expectations. Since then, Rovina has kept him in her pay, as her most trusted messenger and, on occasion, assasin. Only other members of Rovina's special division are aware of his existence, as officially, he is not a member of Gewehr.


Real Name: Ri-behn Yihnmoren

Alias/Nickname: The Outsider

Gender: Male

Age: 56

Race: Mahouni

Birthplace: Daanshuih City

Side: Good

Eye Color: Dark Green

Hair Color: Black

Clothing: Wears red, treated-leather armor over black garments. He also has a very large, ornate helmet with a red tassel. Around his waist is a belt with numerous softened leather pouches.

Weaponry: Genji-styled sword, Mahouni-styled straight sword, Mana Cards.

Personality: He is very strong-willed, and has a very optimistic demeanor. Ri-behn is kind and extremely forgiving, hesitant to make enemies, he will give plenty of warning before making any attempt to actually fight.

Brief Personal Details: Ri-behn has always been different, he failed out of the academy because of an inadequacy to skillfully use summoning arts and mana cards. Despite numerous attempts to regain entry into the academy, he was always deemed unacceptable, and forced to leave. Soon, words of his failure spread, and many began to view him as a lost cause. His parents eventually disowned him, not wanting to be assosciated with someone with no social standing.

Ri-behn remained alone afterwards, always persecuted for his inadequacies; he would often be assaulted and beaten by other Mahouni, and without any form of formal training, he was unable to fight back. He was one day rescued from attack by a Genji woman named Kaigo Dekisokonai. Seeing her skill with the sword she carried, he pleaded his life's case to her; hesitantly, she agreed to teach him Genji martial arts. For the next two years, long-lost confidence was restored as Kaigo patiently taught him; every time he failed, she would console him, and encourage him to try again.

Kaigo came to him on the end of the second year of her mentoring, telling him she could no longer teach him. Although he was greatly saddened at first, she told him that he could do so much more, and he shouldn't let her leave be the end of his training. She gave him one of her swords, and left him alone, heading westwards. Never seeing Kaigo again, Ri-behn took her words to heart; he diligently practiced himself in the Genji martial arts he had been taught, and also taught himself Mahouni summoning arts, becoming greater than most graduates of the academy ever were.

Ri-behn now wanders the countryside, looking for any trace of his long-lost mentor.
