"I'm sure they'll be delighted with that, good sir." Fel smiled.

"Thank you so much for your kind help, the villagers would be happy with just material aid alone." Fel bowed respecfully. "Is there anything else you wish to know, Master Bryant?" Fel asked.

And so, they passed through the peak with no many troubles now that they had the passes to cross.

"I still think that was a bit harsh, Nana. The guy was going to keel over from fright." Zero commented as they walked through the Asgard landscape.

"Hey, that guy was totally ripping us off, I just improvised." Nana countered.

"How do we even get into the Mallosuem now? When the Kharlan tree went berserk the place collasped on itself." Misha asked.

"There's got to be at least some secret entrance of some kind. I had heard a rumor that the Wind altar in Asgard is connected to the Mallosuem itself, maybe we could sneak inside the temple that way." Falken suggested.

"...Where do you get all this information? Those are secrets from the old world." Kratos asked.

"I do my research, besides, when you have an intel mastermind for an older sister, you learn stuff you never knew." Falken answered.

"You mean Noin, right? I wonder how she is." Misha smiled.

"Meh, I'm sure she's fine. She's a powerhouse when she wants to be." Falken rolled his eyes.

"Hey, I can see Asgard!" Nana pointed to the distance where the wind town was nearby.

"Alright! Third Radiant, here we come~" Misha punched the air.

Psychon had remained quiet the entire ordeal, but was taken aback by the sudden performance Nana gave to help the group get through. As they approached Asgard, he finally spoke.

"Hey, when we get to Asgard, I think I'm going to go find a place to sleep. I want to recover as much as possible before we go looking for the Radiant."

He clutched his chest, sighing.


<Lezerano Building>

Persey seemed to clutch Kei's arm when they finally were in the presence of the prestigious man in charge of Lezerano. She had fallen almost deathly quiet, as if nervous to say anything to the man who once signed her paychecks, no, not even that, he was the man who signed the paychecks of the man who signed her paychecks. She decided to wait until the others were done with their business before speaking to him about her own, personal matters. She wanted to know why, when she finally had her dream job, he shut down the mines.

Asgard region

"That sounds like a great idea! Let's all have a break when we get to Asgard! I can't wait to sleep in an actual bed again~" Nana beamed at the idea.

"Well, we'll be there soon so we can all just relax for a while. I want to explore Asgard for a bit. Since Auntie Raine kept ranting on about how great the Asgard Kingdom was in it's glory days before it's decline." Misha smiled.

"You? Studying? You've been hit by the Kraken a few times I think." Zero looked at her ridiciously.

"Hey! Is it actually strange that I'd want to study at least a little?" Misha shurgged.

"I'm surprised, Lloyd would usually just run from that sort of thing if Raine had asked him to." Kratos commented.

"Heh heh, I know. But I'll admit, I love history lessons though."

"That was the ONLY thing you could do. When Professor Raine actually saw you did well on the history test, she fainted." Zero rolled his eyes.

"That's mean~" Misha whined.

It wasn't very long until they finally reached the entrance of Asgard.

Asgard

"Civilazation at last!!" Nana cried for joy.

"We were only stranded for a day on Thoda Geyser." Falken raised an eyebrow.

"Well, now that we're here, let's take a well-earned break, we'll meet back at the Inn when we're ready." Misha spoke to everyone.

"That's nice and all, but...which Inn exactly?" Zero questioned.

"Uhh...The...cheapest one?" Misha answered innocently.

"At least you don't have expensive taste." Zero smirked.

"Hey! We're low on gald, okay!?" Misha retorted.

"Okay, okay. We'll meet back at the least expensive Inn." Falken broke the two up before a fight could emerge. He then pointed to which one it was, which north of them on the lower part of the town.

"Okay then, have fun guys~ I'm off to explore~!" Misha grinned.

"Okay, we'll see you later, I'm going to get some rest. You coming Psychon?" Nana asked as she headed to the inn.

"I'll go restock on some stuff with some left over gald from my traveling funds." Falken nodded, heading to the food shop.

"What are you going to do Kratos?" Misha asked.

"Against my better judgement, I'll leave you in Mithos' hands. I trust him enough to look after you." Kratos answered.

"Where are you going to go?" Zero questioned.

"Surveying the area to make sure we don't have any unsavoury people following us." Kratos replied.

"Well, okay..." Misha waved to him as Kratos left to keep an eye on danger. "Well I know you won't leave me for a second, Claire so I'm not going to even bother asking what you're going to do." Misha sweatdropped.

"So where is it that you're going to explore?" Zero asked.

"I'm going to go see the dais!" Misha beamed.

"Oh, yes... that would be wonderful..."

Psychon seemed greatly relieved, trodding up alongside Nana. In his weakened state, he let out a softened groan.

"Nana..."

His hand still clutching his chest, he craned his head slowly to make sure they were alone.

"... what do you know about the cosmos? The great beyond that lies above this world? Above Aselia? Did you ever learn about that in school?"

Psychon took a moment to take a deliberate, drawn breath.

"The sun? The moons? The stars?"

Nana decided to give some leverage to Psychon as he was struggling on his own. "Hey, you okay?" Nana asked with concern.

"... what do you know about the cosmos? The great beyond that lies above this world? Above Aselia? Did you ever learn about that in school?"

"What?" Nana raised an eyebrow.

"The sun? The moons? The stars?"

"Oh, I think I know what you mean. Uh...kinda, why?" Nana honestly answered.

Asgard: Dais

"So this is the dais that Falken was talking about." Misha looked around the area once they climbed up the tedious stairs. Being the brave little adventurer she was, she climbed on to the Dais.

"Are you sure that's safe?" Zero questioned.

"Well they haven't closed it off and it's open to tourists, so there's nothing life-threatening here." Misha answered. "Mithos, you come from the time when this place was the Asgard Kingdom still, right? What do you know about this place?" Misha asked Mithos curiously, looking at the symbols on the ground.

'She's so full of energy... How does she get like this?' Mithos wondered with a small sigh.

"I wasn't really around here much. I never actually studied this place, either. Yuan probably know, since he was born here, but I was born in Heimdall, so I never really bothered traveling around these parts. Not that half-elves were welcomed in Sylvarant's territories, either." Mithos answered her.

He looked around the city for a moment. "Having been born when the Asgard Kingdom existed, though... I don't see why Yuan didn't actually try to make something of himself. Instead he had to come along with me, didn't he..." Mithos muttered the last part disapprovingly. All they'd ever really done was argue. Not that it would have gotten any bit better by the time they became in-laws.

"If you find Yuan around here, you could always ask him." Mithos suggested with a shrug. "Since the fighting from twenty years ago is finally over now, he's probably been taking a break from things. I'm sure he'd want to stop by the place of his birth once in a while."

"I see. I didn't know Uncle Yuan was born here. Hmmm...Makes you wonder why he didn't stay here?" Misha wondered, unknowningly thinking along the same lines as Mithos.

Misha continued to look at the symbols with intrest, getting on to her knees and looking closer at the middle part of the dais, she noticed a small indention that looked different from the rest of the dais.

"Misha, get down from there! You're going to get yourself in trouble again!" Zero huffed.

"No I won't, I'll be just-" Misha fought back and accidently pressed the indention by mistake. "Fine?"

A magic circle appeared around the dais as it glowed to life. "Hey, what's-!" Misha stood up and took a few steps back before a flash of light engulfed her sight and senses.

"MISHA!" She was able to hear as she was taken from one place into someplace much darker. "OW!" She was greeted with a thud on the stone floor after being by surprise.

"Owww...that hurts." Misha whined as she eased her butt after the fall, once her eyes focused, she noticed that she was not on the dais anymore. "Where...am I?" Misha asked herself as she looked around. It looked like she was inside the dais itself with no way out.

"Oh goddess, Kratos is going to kill me! Why do these things keep happening to meeee...?" She sobbed pitifully at her pridicament. She hit her head on a nearby pillar. Muttering 'stupid' to herself over and over.

Back on the surface

"Oh goddess, Kratos is going to kill us! I knew Misha was going to get herself into trouble! I'm going in after her." Zero sighed and was getting ready to jump into the dais as well before the magic spell faded. That is until..."Mithos wait!"

Psychon let out a sigh as he was given support by her.

"Mmm... you ever wonder... if you're alone in this universe? If Aselia... is the only world... where people thrive?"

Psychon fell quiet, drearily pulling himself forwards to the inn.

"People who think like that, they aren't as crazy as they seem."

He suddenly lifted his head.

"Ungh... did you feel that?"

He slowly turned himself to face towards the dias.

"That wave... of mana?"

"Mmm... you ever wonder... if you're alone in this universe? If Aselia... is the only world... where people thrive?"

"Well, considering Elves came from another world, I think that there's more than one too." Nana smiled softly.

"People who think like that, they aren't as crazy as they seem."

"Hm?" Nana tilited her head, but then Psychon seemed to have picked up something saying it came from the Dais.

"Psychon, you go to the inn and rest up, you're really weak. I'll go find out what's going on." Nana told him, gently nudging him towards the inn. "I'll be back soon!" Nana called out before running off to where the wind Dais was.

<Xade ~ Luin>

Xade still grinned at Harou’s frown, “Well, you’ll never know… even if this guy may not be the descendant, he could still give our comrades back at home information. We could even have him reveal the home location of the Mana Vampires too with the right torture, of course.”

He waited a while for Harou, but when it didn’t seem like the other demon had a teleportation device, his grin started to fade. Were they stuck here until scouts were to come along and ‘pick them up’? To Xade that might seem the case, but with his last few encounters, especially the ones with Harou, it didn’t look that way. Oh well, they only worked a few times, so if Harou did have one there was no way he was going to waste it on Xade.

“What are you planning on doing Xade?”

Narrowing his eyes slightly at Harou’s serious tone of voice, Xade only shifted the Mana Vampire’s body from his shoulder to over his neck and looked up at the sky. “Hmm, well, looks like my only choice is to travel to the Temple of Darkness and see if I can get back home from there. It’s where I first ended up when I came to Aselia, so maybe I can use that location,” hunching his shoulders, he looked over to Omi, “I’ll be parting ways with you guys for a while… When I get back, I’ll continue helping you, okay?”

After that, Xade rushed out of the small town and made sure he was hidden underneath the cover of the trees before shifting into his true form. Spreading his wings, he leaped up into the sky and took off eastward. Passing the Tower of Mana, he eventually came across the sea and pushed onward, knowing that this was going to be a long journey. Hours and hours went by and luckily for him, he spotted a clutter of large rocks poking out of the water’s surface. They were just high enough where the large waves couldn’t reach the top, so Xade made a quick pit-stop there.

“Geez, this is dull,” Xade sighed and grimaced at the never ending sea, “I wonder when I’m going to reach land.” He pulled out the map of Aselia to look over its contents.

“Mmm… uh? Where am… eh?” a voice over Xade’s shoulder gasped, “When did I get to the ocean?!”

“So, sleeping beauty is finally awake?” Xade sneered and turned his panther-like head to the Mana Vampire’s face, “You’ll be heading to somewhere spectacular soon—somewhere filled with darkness and pain. Though, I think you would need more rest so you’ll be energized once we reached there.”

When Xade reached up to clamp one of his massive hands around the struggling Mana Vampire’s neck, he began to slowly suffocate him until the blond youth fell unconscious again. “Tch, it’d make my traveling easier if you’d just stay asleep…” he grumbled and then placed his map away before taking off over the ocean again. Soon, land was within Xade’s sights and he quickly sped up his arrival. He remembered the temple was within the mountains near the coast, so he flew over them and scanned for the ancient structure. Once he spotted it, he landed at the entrance and made his way inside to the deepest chambers of the temple.

<Nazca Zamira ~ Aesir HQ to Izoold>

“Of course, sir! I’ll be ready to leave today once I gather all the materials I’ll need. If that’s all, I’ll take my leave.” Nazca bowed and then slowly left Renhart’s office. She already began to make a list of the materials she’ll need during her mission—most of the items she already has possession of—and went to notify her brother that she was going to be leaving that same day. Once she was done gathering her equipment, she followed the rest of her comrades taking part in the mission with Requin seeing her off. Their transport vehicle soon raced across the land and dropped Nazca off at Izoold, where she looked for a ferry that would take her to the western lands. Though, by the time she arrived at the port, the last ferry had already set sail and wouldn’t return until the next day.

With nothing to do at the port town, she headed over to the inn and bought a room to stay for the night. Laying out the attire she was going to wear from now on when she would arrive at Meltokio, she already planned ahead to disguise herself as a human and to later on somehow sneak inside the royal castle. She and her brother had done it once, so she could distinctively recall the layout of the castle. She just hoped that this wouldn’t be a failure like the last time they infiltrated it.

“Hmm, I wonder what Kael is up to…” she suddenly muttered and flopped down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling as the male half-elf entered her mind. She haven’t seen him around lately in the HQ and wondered if the commander had sent him away or something.

Mithos sighed at Misha's misfortune. She was just like her parents without a doubt...

Not paying any mind to Zero telling him to wait, Mithos headed in after Misha. When he arrived at the same place as her, he found her on the ground, rather than standing on her feet.

"...How on earth did you manage to land like that?" Mithos asked, helping the other blonde up. "You really should take everyone's advice and be more careful."

Asgard ~ Inside the Dais

Misha stopped hitting herself on the wall when she heard the sound of someone else coming in, she turned to see who it was.

"Mithos?"

"...How on earth did you manage to land like that?" Mithos asked, helping the other blonde up. "You really should take everyone's advice and be more careful."

"Thanks, and I know...Wish I did listen to Zero now." Misha sighed sadly. "Don't tell him I said that, he'd never let me hear the end of it." Misha rolled her eyes at the thought.

"So...this is the inside of the Dais, do we have to go all the way to the Balacruf Mallosuem to get out of here or is there a quicker way? I don't want to stay here and join the dead." Misha wondered, looking around, trying to find a way out.

On the Road Between Luin and Asgard

"Hyaa!" Kael yelled cutting the small rabbit, instantly ending it's life. It wasn't much, but it at least filled his weapons up a little bit, which would help if he ran into trouble again. After several hours, he had finally figured out how his demonic weapon worked. In essence, it ran off blood, or the 'energy' within the blood. The twin bracelets were the main weapon, creating anything from powerful multi-second shields, to orbs of energy that could be hurled towards the enemy. The sword, was the device in which the bracelets get their energy. The sword absorbed the energy from the blood and then transferred it to the bracelets. Of course, the sword had a few attacks of it's own, one of Kael's favorite being an attack that launched a horizontal red arc, cutting anything in it's path.


Altamira: Regal's Office

"No I think I've learned enough from what you have told me." Regal said. "I will organize a food and supplies drive to aid the villagers."

"I see. Thank you very much for your time, Master Bryant." Fel bowed again in respect. She then turned to her friends and asked them.

"Is there anyone else who would like to speak with Master Bryant before we leave?"

Persey nodded, stepping away from Kei and giving her best smile as she approached Regal.

"Mr. Bryant, you don't know me, but I know you. I'm one of the miners that was formerly in your employ at the Toize Valley Mine."

She kept her hands behind her back, grabbing her arm with the other hand.

"Then one day, you just shut everything down, what I need to know is why?"

<Asgard: Inn>

Psychon watched her leave, considering for a moment, violating every principle he had established in his time at the Guard. To reveal his true form beyond the illusion, his real name, the truth. He soon snapped out of it, and turned to the inn to rest.
