Personal Details/History: Levi was still inside his mother’s womb before he got sent away. Why was he sent away you ask? He was sent away because he did not seem to have any trace of Nayurian blood inside him. The elders always check the wombs of the pregnant mothers for those of “impure” blood, for it is their belief that a child of “impure” blood will surely walk along the path that many humans do, hate, greed, ignorance, and even pure evilness. The elders banished his pregnant mother to live with the rest of the world until she gave birth, then she could come back, but she had to leave the child. Levi’s mother traveled to Herba fields, where she stayed with a kindly older couple who always wanted a child, but couldn’t. They were willing to take her baby and raise him. After Levis birth his mother left making sure her baby would learn of the Lumani way. She had left him a book, it held enough text to allow him to learn how to summon, and she left notes inside the pages to give him further insight and love.

He grew up on the farm that his new parents owned; he worked in the field, played with his Choboco, and read stories. His favorite stories were of the ‘Golden Brigade’. Many days he would go out into the barn and practice using knives and daggers in battle, his dream were to join the ‘Golden Brigade’. When his new father thought Levi was old enough, he gave him the book from his mother. Within the next month Levi had read the whole thing, though he still could not summon his Eidolon. He decided to go out and become a successful Sky Pirate. His new parents let him go and fulfill his dream.

After three years of pillaging and fighting, and looting. He and his fellow Pirates in the ‘Death Crusaders’ were keeping a good inventory of loot. Most of their loot is artifacts, and stones and minerals. They traded this loot to the black market for Gil, and bought things like sails and engines for their ship. Recently though their captain decided to sell their current ship, and use his long stockpiled Gil to buy a new and very luxurious ship. It had 36 cannons on each side, and a strong mast, with 7 sales, individual living quarters for 3-5 men and 4 very elegant wings to make it all fly. It was a dream come true for the ‘Death Crusaders’, they finally had a ship to show off. They were the envy of many pirates. Few attempts of hijack were made, for the mighty firepower of the ship obliterated its foes.

Life on the ship was good…for a bit…. out in the distance they spotted an amazingly fast ship with big blue letters along the side, they spelled out the most feared word in the whole sky pirate community, “Atlantis”. They opened fire on the swift ship, pelting it with cannonballs. They had little effect; the Atlantis headed straight for them and ducked below them. Suddenly a dazzling beam of light poured through the wooden deck and a beam shot through the whole ship, destroying all 4 engines. The Atlantis flew off into the clouds and left the “Death Crusaders’ falling out of the sky, and into the waters below.

Hmmm, the spelling's bit off, that can be helped.

I did have some questions beforehand about it but when I read through the entire background, I got my answers so no worries there. XD

Other than the spelling in some areas, it looks like a pass. I would recommend paragraphing though as it makes it easier for people to read. (Sorry if I sounded like grammar nazi just then. >.<)

Anyway, I'll get him added to the list then. I have a question though, does Levi get saved by the Atlantis (AKA: The Golden Brigade)? Or does he fall into the ocean with the other sky pirates? ^^

As usual, I'll show my support for this RP; especially now that mid-terms are over, I find myself with a lot of free time.

Aleph Xiphandre

Gender: Male

Birthplace: Aeon Empire (Pantheus City)

Occupation: Researcher's Assistant

Weaponry: 'Elementalis' Magic-Enhanced Broadsword System

History: Aleph was a young man born and raised in Pantheus city, a city that lies on the edges of Aeon Empire's controlled territories. It is also, unusually enough, the city with the highest number of people who formerly lived in the Lindria Kingdom. One such person was Dr. Prometheus, an elven researcher and Aleph's teacher, mentor, and eventually, his employer. Hw would spend the majority of his years working as Dr. Prometheus's assistant, aiding him in his various projects.

One such project was dubbed 'Elementalis', it was an attempt to merge technology and magic in such a way to allow anyone to be able to handle magic which normally took years of study to master, even allowing people who normally could not use magic to do so. The project moved slowly due to a lack of proper supplies and funding, resulting in excrutiatingly slow development. The project would eventually be abandoned because of the projected level of cost that the final product would take to complete, making mass-production unfeasible. Dr. Prometheus and his protege would move on to new, more promising and profitable projects.

About a month ago, Aleph and Dr. Prometheus were attacked in their lab; Aleph would be knocked unconscious during the struggle, and when he came to, the lab was in shambles, and there were signs the attackers had tried and failed to burn the place down. Dr. Prometheus was nowhere to be found, leaving Aleph alone and wondering what happened.

Not one to take this offense sitting down, he thought long and hard of a way to find out what happened to his life-long mentor and partner. He would eventually arrive to the conclusion he would need to use force. He adapted the remains of the 'Elementalis' system, compiling it into a crude, broadsword system that vaguely imitated genuine magic through use of 'Prism Capsules', small, crystalline objects which could store enough magical force, absorbed from the surrounding environment or from the spells of others capable of harnessing magic, to power the 'Elementalis' system for five minutes of continuous use.

Upon its completion, Aleph set out into the world to pursue the men who had attacked him and Dr. Prometheus.

Okay, here are my other two characters... Now that I've gotten this done, I really need to work on homework and a sculpting project that's due next week. And I also don't have Evan's character design fully drawn yet, although I did finish Guys'... So both their appearance pic will be up later (possibly by next week).

Age: Guys is 19 and Evan is 24
Race: Guys is Human and Evan is Rabai
Birthplace: Both born in Zanark City
Occupation: Guys is a thief/adventurer; Evan is an inventor/engineer.
Alliance: Neutral

Eye color: Guys has hazel eyes and Evan has light red eyes.
Hair color: Guys has black hair; Evan has white hair and rabbit ears.
Appearance: First off, Guys appears like any other nineteen year old youth, albeit having a nimble figure, standing at 5’7” tall, and has pinkish toned skin. He also has somewhat wide, angular eyes that blaze a vibrant hazel hue. His blackish brown hair is cut short just above his shoulders and his bangs cover messily over his forehead and also slightly over his eyes. Guys usually wear a light colored, plain shirt underneath a black, heavy jacket with a furred hood, and along the sides of the jacket are stitches of random emblems that he put together. Though, concealed inside his jacket are several pockets, which he keeps his stolen treasures and other little trinkets, as well as his weapons. He wears long, black baggy pants, leather boots, and usually strapped to his right leg is his dagger.

Evan has a more average build, compared to Guys, and has broad shoulders—giving the appearance that he seems much older. He stands at 6’ 2” tall and has a light pinkish skin tone. His short hair is the color of pure white, as well as his long, floppy rabbit ears that stick out the sides of his head, and his bangs cover his forehead, while strands at the center are slightly longer that flows toward the left side of his face. He has narrow, light crimson eyes and he also has a narrow jaw line and a slightly squared chin. Evan wears a loose shirt underneath a light plate of chainmail, which he usually keeps concealed with a thick, dark forest-green coat. Leather belts holding several small pouches and tools hang from his waist and he wears dark colored long pants, along with leather shoes. He is also seen wearing a maroon scarf around his neck almost at all times and strapped around his back is a large rifle.

Weaponry: Guys wields a revolver and several small daggers which he keeps concealed in his jacket, and one larger knife strapped around his right leg. While Evan uses a Mana rifle and some of his other inventions. (Will list/create some later… can’t think of any at the moment.)

Personal Details/History: Quick witted and reckless, Guys is not afraid to follow what he believes in and tends to act on impulse. He is very optimistic and friendly to those around him, even to strangers who seem trustworthy. Though, he does have a rather brash appearance and at times act of that nature, despite his friendly and social attitude. Unfortunately, since he loves to be around people, he is often too dependent on others—usually never wanting to be left by alone. With this, he can behave childish and prefers to be with someone or Evan constantly if he is able to. Though, if he is left alone for very long periods of time, he becomes depressed. Another thing about being around Evan, he unconsciously developed feelings for the older man, however, he doesn’t like to think of it that way and acts stubborn when Evan teases him about it openly. Though, he does occasionally get jealous if Shion or any other people are too close to Evan.

As for Evan, he is normally seen calm and composed whenever he is around others. He never says anything that would offend his peers and thinks things through carefully before acting. He is very observant of his surroundings and sometimes tend to be quite jumpy if he is startled unexpectedly. He has a passion for inventing things, using the knowledge he obtained from the Aeon Empire when he was a child and the tools/junk he or Guys finds and then goes to build things to help others if they need it. He often tries to build an array of contraptions and devices to help his close friend, Shion, fly since his wings are too small for flight. However, despite his friendly behavior around others, he loves to tease Guys, and doesn’t mind to openly state or show their relationship with each other (which often causes Guys to shout at him with embarrassment). The only thing that upsets Evan is if his family/past is ever brought up—having unpleasant memories of his time with them before meeting Guys.


After losing his parents in an accident a few years after he was born, Guys spent most of his childhood in Zanark City’s orphanage in the middle-class section of the city; however, the orphanage itself was almost considered part of the lower-class due to the increasing number of orphans from the lower half of the city. Guys, at a young age, had to struggle a lot with the other children to feed his own stomach and often shoplifted stores and vendors when he was out around the city. Though, when he was around eight years old, he decided to venture out into the high-class section of the city (of course avoiding most of the civilians there and from being seen) to try out his luck at pocketing some extra money. He soon spotted a young, well-dressed Rabai, probably several years older than him, sitting alone near a secluded fountain reading a book. Waiting for the right opportunity when no one was around, Guys immediately approached the Rabai and sat down nearby at the fountain edge. At first, Guys waited to see if the older boy would react to him, expecting him to move away, but he didn’t. In fact, it seemed like the Rabai hadn’t even noticed Guys move up right next to him and continued reading. Grinning, Guys was about to pickpocket the Rabai, until a hand had caught his wrist in the act. The hand belonged to the older boy and it seems that he really did noticed Guys’ presence. After a few protests to be released, the Rabai finally did so and stared curiously at him with great interest. Though, after an exchange of a few words, Guys left the other boy and returned back to the orphanage empty handed.

Days after that encounter, Guys began to notice the same Rabai he had met wandering around the middle layer of the city, until soon the older boy found his way to the orphanage. Wondering if the Rabai was lost, he was the first to greet him, though he soon found out that the boy was intentionally looking for Guys. It seemed that the Rabai was interested in the common folk and his encounter with Guys. After weeks and months of continuous visits from the Rabai, whom he was called Evan, the two became close and a year after that, they decided to leave the city (after becoming tired of the life there) without telling anyone or Evan’s family, joining a band of adventurers to travel the world. For about a couple of years, they’ve traveled with the band’s children and soon became friends with the newcomer, Shion, until they’ve reached the Windcrest Kingdom.

After dropping off the half-Nekoi at the Feather-Folk capital, Guys and Evan, out of concern, didn’t want to leave behind their friend. So, instead of continuing with the adventurers, they settled in a village at the far edge of the kingdom and tried to start their new life there. Evan became an inventor and somewhat of an engineer after taking a major interest in steam technology he had studied as a young child, and built machines and other things to help out people of the village; whereas Guys often went up to check on Shion at the capital. The three didn’t meet for several years, until when Guys and Evan was able to somehow sneak a visit— finally happy to see their friend again. However, after their meeting, the duo decided to move to the Starfall Canyons and kept an eye out for their friend. The three became extremely close and soon, news of the world’s events would reach them—unexpected that they would be somehow involved in the conflict.

Try not to go overboard with the inventions with Evans though, since Cid and Lucille need some screentime as inventors too. XD

I'll accept the Mana rifle but no advanced weaponry unless they're artefacts, deal? ^_^

Eh? But you have one of your characters wielding twin 'Mana Pistols'... what's the difference between that and a single rifle? (Rifles were made/developed by the Victorian era, right? Since, I know that there were olden style guns during that time and with steam tech, they're bound to have them too.) How ever your pistols function, I plan to have the rifle being used the same way when it concerns the 'Mana' part, so no worries.

And, how would Evan's inventions take screentime away from your characters? The ones that will be listed (when I'm able to think of some) for his weaponry would be small trinkets anyways, nothing really large scale. But, even if it is his occupation, its not like I'm going to have him make things 24/7 either (he's not going to make everything that is important from the video games, I was going to leave that to you). Majority of his parts will be socializing and taking notes for future projects. You just have to be creative on your part on which inventions your character makes before I do... ^^;;

And yes, I knew that. That's why I accepted the Mana rifle. As for how those pistols worked, I was just thinking of that the bullets are made from mana energy so it would come from Lucille's own mana to form as 'magic' bullets shall we say? ^^

Well, since this is Victorian era, the most-advanced technology for guns of that time period would be self-contained cartridges. Weapons would most likely still be muzzle-loaders, or breech-loading weapons which accept paper cartridges. The next step in firearms technology would probably be internal magazines/cylinders, and manual actions like bolt or lever action rifles and early, single-action revolvers designed to load paper cartridges. The most advanced weapons will be using metal, self-contained cartridges which have the primer, powder, and bullet all in one. Semi-Automatic weapons, however, are stilll a long ways away. I'm not certain if by the Victorian era they were still widely using sphere-shaped bullets, or had upgraded to the conical-shaped "minie-ball" bullet, but I think that it was the latter that's more common by this time.

Aaand... that's how you scare people by knowing FAR too much about military technology.

Anyway, thanks for the useful info, at least now we can seperate what sort of guns would be suitable for a Steampunk theme and what isn't. ^_^
