Disagree. Hubert needs help to beat Rock Gagan. Cheria does not and can do a solo by herself without piggyback damage equipped to kill the overgrown lizard. Although in other aspects, Hubert is pretty much god since he survives 100+ uses of a BC like nothing.

This is very true. Cheria's got a really cute design.
Martmart is fine when she's not fawning over Emil, but that's most of the game. I thought I'd hate her more, but I guess the fact that she's a pretty good healer/fighter won her some brownie points with me. |

Marta is a healer who can also use fighting artes and those are not too bad at all. Also she's cute and I love her little fang.
At first I found her personality to be annoying but now I wonder how I ever could

While Marta does have a really cool fighting style, and Radiant Roar was my strategy for most of ToS2, her character annoyed the life out of me. She had too much of a damsel in distress feel, coupled with an annoyingly clinging attitude and obnoxious voice.
Cheria was a bit better, but Sophie was pure amazing, despite the fact that her third BC required an ungodly amount of work to get.

I found Marta's obsession with Emil to be cute at the very beginning, but it quickly became annoying. Especially when other girls were involved... I think I would have liked her a lot if it wasn't for the ridiculous jealousy thing. It's actually kind of nice to see an assertive heroine going after the hero instead of playing the tsundere or naive-girl role. I just think they took it a little too far.
Her design was cute except for the hair... I couldn't figure out what was going on with that. Her boots were also a bit strange, but worked more or less.
Over all, I think Marta was a very good idea that went wrong at some point. I blame it on poor execution of her character and relying too heavily on the "Emil-is-the-only-one-for-me" joke.
