Nice work skipping over why I feel it's bad.

You said it yourself. They developed it with a more casual crowd in mind, and that made it bad.

Right, Conn. I also said that I felt it wasn't professional. Unpolished is a better word to use. And it being made and aimed at the casual audience isn't a bad thing, but it does make this game bad for me. I've played them all since Children of the Atom, so whether you understand or not seems to be something you have to decide on.

In fact, the casual people are somewhere on the bottom for my list as to why I feel the game is bad. This isn't everything I have against it, but it sure was a bulk of the post.

Character themes were removed. Same for victory quotes. They removed mid buttons to attract casual people as well as fit the actual controls on the DC (and I guess to fit that shiny third person on your team). Duo Team Attack was one of the cooler things about the game and they removed that as well. The sound quality for hits against the opponent are also very tame sounding in MvC2, and I know that little bit is nitpicking, but I want my Hyper Megaman to make the original noise when the beam hit opponents.

But it's ok, Conn. If you find it terrible after all that, then I guess it's terrible. I won't change your mind about it. But you really should acknowledge everything I said on the matter and not just pick out one thing from the pile.

I really want to see updated versions of Ruby Heart and Tron, reason enough for me to hope for mvc3.

^ The original characters seemed to be the only ones with proper balance. Well....for the most part...

Though hopefully MvC3 would actually go through a lot of enhancing over MvC2's engine. I only play MvC2 when I pull out my Dreamcast every now and again, but having played all of the Vs series except TvC it's easily the poorest in presentation and balance. It might just be me, but it also gets boring/monotonous pretty quickly (being a semi-casual semi-pro on/off fighter myself). The faults really are glaring when it's put up against its predacessors.

If they added the Devil May Cry, Power Stone, Viewtiful Joe, and God Hand casts, though, I would be suckered into this faster than a lollipop Rolling Eyes

1)I think some of you should realise that balance isn't ALWAYS the be-all end-all factor in determining the success of a fighting game.

2)Few people who seriously plays MVC2 now would take well to a sequel because it would inevitably remove a lot of the stuff that to them gave MVC2 its charm.

Yeah, she's a new character created for MvC2. She's pretty fun too.

I'm with Throne on wanting to see an updated Tron Bonne, if they keep her in. I don't see why they wouldn't, Japan loves Tron. =(

I also wouldn't mind seeing a few new X-Men/Marvel Characters like Jean Grey, Ms. Marvel, Emma Frost (White Queen), Deadpool, Jubilee, etc. Though, I'm surprised they didn't include Jean Grey in any of the Marvel fighting games considering her potential (Phoenix, Dark Phoenix, etc).

Also, not having Bone-claw Wolverine would be nice since it was a stupid idea to begin with.

Is it wrong that I want Ruby Heart to return in this installment?

I really enjoyed playing as her in MvC2.
