The best overall Team on Symphonia?

What's the best team all around in the game. Like characters at their maximum potential.

I say probably Lloyd,Genis,Zelos,Raine.

Simply because Raine and Genis are pretty legit if they aim right.

And Lloyd and Zelos for obvious frontline battle tactics

Well, I always have Raine and Genis in my team anyway and couldn't think about battling without them. After all there's no healer like Raine and only Genis can learn the profi spells and attack a lot of enemies at once... So I basicly agree with you. Those two and two frontline warriors. I always use Lloyd as my character and add either Kratos, Zelos, Sheena or Presea. 'though I admit, Sheena is not too strong when she's not able to summon... *sigh*

I have my team usually set as Kratos or Zelos when Kratos is not available then Lloyd and the other 2 characters just depend on what I am doing at the time. Usually though, my party for walking around in the field or dungeons is:

Kratos or Zelos (preferbly Kratos and this is who I play as always)
Lloyd
Sheena
Presea

For boss battles I also use the:
Lloyd
Kratos/Zelos
Genis
Raine

and if I have to have Sheena then she takes the place of Genis.

Perhaps so. Raine is really good at what she does then Genis does loads of damage on his advance skills. When you have 2 melee guys doing lots of damage and making it where enemies can't hurt your spellcasters, it is a real sure fire thing and a trusty tactic to rely on.

Before Sheena, I use Lloyd, Kratos, Genis, and Raine. After I get Sheena, it's Lloyd, Kratos, Sheena, and Genis. After the Tower, it's Lloyd, Zelos, Sheena, and either Raine or Genis, depending on the situation.

Lloyd is Lloyd.

Presea is a tank. Damage output is off the charts and she has immunity to all elemental attacks, not to mention her defense is so damn high Suppress takes care of pretty much everything else.

Zelos is a nice and fast melee fighter. The only real reason for me having any spellcaster is to keep enemies from moving, which Zelos doubles as fine. He also heals, if you really need it.

Colette is for luck-based stuff, Holy Judgment and generally being an actually pretty good character. As long as you turn off all her spells but Holy Song.

Genis' spells are cool, but really the damage output isn't as great as it could be, and his survival skills are nonexistent.

Kratos is slow and except for Judgment, which is also slow, Zelos does everything better.

Healing is what items are for. Raine can heal everyone fairly well, and is probably the best healer in Tales history. However, aside from healing she doesn't do much else. Her spot could be taken by another damage-dealer and Symphonia isn't a game that requires lots and lots of healing anyways. She also steals the absorb equipment that goes on Presea.

Sheena can't combo, runs into everything and generally is a Life Bottle sucker.

I play GC version so Regal can stay in the 8th slot.
