Duuuuuuuude thanks a bunch. I tried out Peridot and followed your instructions. I was pretty much able to everything you did. Now I guess I can start ripping characters. I guess I'll rip Innes via screenshots and rip some other character via GGD. But before I start I have some questions:

1) When scrolling the main page up or down. How far down does it go? Does it go down until there are no more body parts? Also, does each individual file have every body part or do you have to hunt every file to find other parts?

2) For palletes, is the only REAL way to find the correct pallete is just mess around with it? Because that seems like a pain in the ass. There are a bajillion colors I am allowed to scroll through and it's difficult for me to figure out where the right spot is. It's like you have to develop an instinct with GGD.

3) How do you know which characters are in what files? Is it random? Is there a list or do you just mess around until you find who you're looking for?

4) Are the instructions with Peridot the same with every character or is it different for each file?

1) It does go down until there are no more body parts left. The enemies have their sprites in one data, the cameo ones are split up (those that have a regular file and then the same one with *_STK).

2) The correct palettes are near the top, you won't find any more down. In the Peridot example, you can see all possible palettes - so they're usually together. A palette usually also starts with the transparent color (in the Peridot example, it's this green...ish color). A palette for a sprite part has a maximum of 16 colours. So, if you found out the transparent color, all you have to do is to set the PalShiftMode to 16 Palettes and then use scroll up or down one or two palettes to find the right one for a part.

3) It's like Lotto, I guess. As a general rule though, the major enemies are near the beginning, the random enemies (and cameos) are after that. For example, 007.DS3 is Guy, 011.DS3 is Armes and Loni is way down as 115.DS3.

4) Yeah, should be. The width might be a bit more difficult to handle with the enemies that are huuuuuuuge (= Kraken, final boss), but other than that, it should be the same.

Aw yeah I got this now. I'm currently extracting Tytree.

Anyways, I think I have to call it quits on the screenshot ripping. Some special effects get in the way (IE: Innes' rising knee attack) and they're doing a "trasparent fadeaway" thing so that it totally ruins my chances with clean rips. However, I will be able to rip sheets of the usable characters. Just...incomplete and without special effects.

Should I have asked me. Anywhay I think the main characters a E001-E006, and they're still compressed. Someone has to uncompress
those files.

Nae's right, the character sprites are all compressed.
I have file extractors/rebuilders and file compressors/decompressors but my friend made them and told me to keep them to myself but I could always ask him if I could pass them on to you, Estelle.

seems logic, unless they're very slow or the files were too big for it or to be uploaded in a site.

Progress Update: Aside from more people helping (Yes!), I began to extract Tytree and started on Innes. I have the majority of her idle animation.

Update 2:

- Here's an animation of Innes' idle stance for y'all. It's imperfect and incomplete. To some of you, it may look complete but it is actually missing quite a few frames.
- Might keep it as is. The animation is already 8 frames.
