Back from shopping, 'twas successful. I got m'pinstripes. ;D
Now I have to type what I wrote at school and get to work. I've been flagging enough the past couple of days.
Oh, and my backup folder is less than impressive.
But it does go back to last year's NaNo, so you can watch my struggle to spell "Apofhdioap."
And I think one of those random keyslams is Mod. The document title was "Vince narrates!" so I didn't know what to do with it. :'D
Hopefully the next time I post I'll actually have a word count update... _________________

I have it either way. I always have to try to find a way to talk about my stories in the least awkward manner. Too bad there's no such thing. :'D
In real life, I'm definitely less likely to talk about it, but I will talk about writing with one of my friends when she is in town, even if we're in a public place. I don't mind discussing writing itself, but what I write is a bit different.
| Quote: | | Everyone else is writing so much. Don't you have homework to do or anime to watch? I haven't written anything since I got home... |
I wish I still had a job. As if this is helping me look for one. I should be applying for stuff. And I'm 24, so I don't have to worry about high school.
As for anime, I don't really watch anime. I don't really watch much of anything, except that I've been fanboying Four Brothers lately. Plus I type fast. So yeah. I get a lot done. D:
| Quote: | | I think my problem with tenses is that I just read an excellent novel written in first person present tense. (The second book of the Hunger Games series. If you haven't read it, and you like fantasy/sci-fi, read it! After november, that is.) |
Oooh, yeah. That can definitely influence a person. :D

Piiiiictures. o.o
(And if you do take pictures, I wanna see your scarf too. -shot-
I was going to ask you what that random jumble of characters was. :'D
I'm at 37,895. I haven't typed much despite being awake and motivated. :'( Too many distractions. _________________ MushyK -> Cal

I can definitely relate. Sometimes I doubt I'll be able to salvage anything, but... I keep remembering what Chris Baty said about things perking up in Week 3, so I'm hoping that holds true.

Oh, yes. :') Luckily no one's asked me to explain my project yet. Heck, I feel weird trying to explain it to people online... It sounds all right in my head, but when I try to describe the plot in a chat or email it sounds weird and/or boring.
My NaNo backup emails are all the same. :') The subjects say "nanooo". Except the one I sent myself this afternoon, when I was feeling particularly creative.
I thought I'd be spending tonight working on a literature analysis tonight for my class tomorrow, but I received a wonderful email... Looks like it's NaNo time again.
RESEARCH PAPER, WHAT'S THAT
...Eh, I'll probably procrastinate by organizing a NaNo playlist on my iPod or editing character bios. :') _________________

Roadie, your email is the best. <3 I love that.
And that is a very wonderful email indeed.
I'm trying to make it to 40k by the end of the night. I've been heavier on descriptions tonight, and I keep allowing myself to be distracted, so tonight has been pretty slow. :')
I'm actually enjoying myself right now. It might be the location, the descriptions, and the fact that my MC is allowing himself another rare moment of fun. I'm not sure. xD _________________ MushyK -> Cal

I love when classes get cancelled!
Good luck getting to 40k Mushy! You can do it!

That's what I'm tempted to do right now...but I have 13k with only 2k to go until I reach my goal for tonight. _________________

When my IRL friends ask me what I'm doing for NaNo, I panic a lot. "Uh, er, magic and...swearing, and...stuff. I can't explain it."
Fortunately, barely anyone asks me. :') And if it happens that I have drawings on me, I just go "THIS STUFF" and instantly everything's all better.
So, yes, I can relate to that.

@KK Twain: Nope not really, I just try and be as blunt as possible while not spoiling anything.
Also, I did nothing for nanowrimo today, 500 words is crappy. Guess I was just lazy or tired. Or both. I'll make up for it tomorrow with 6k.
Sorry if nothing I say makes sense I'm tired haha I'm heading off to bed. _________________ [ Youtube |Psn: AzureEther| Live Journal]

"Words for me are very difficult. They're always fighting me. I'm in a pure funk, the whole time I'm writing".
^I think this quote by Wilbur Daniel Steele just applied to me today. I had to fight for a 5k today. If its okay, I won't even sleep. _________________

edit1: why do i keep spelling Liane as Liance?
edit2: I'm gonna need a freaking disclaimer for Chapter 12. Holy hell. Empathy, lol. _________________

| Quote: | | Well, use of the shovel will provide you with words. Anyone could easily milk a small 1,000-word scene from the shovel. Those more talented could get more. Heck, I’d bet someone could even get a whole novel out of the shovel’s exploits |
This is from the Traveling Shovel of Doom topic. Now I really want to write a novel solely based on the TSoD. (Kicks idea away.) Well, I'm positive it will be making an appearance sometime this month. I don't want any of my main characters to die though. We'll see. Maybe one character was more villianous than I originally thought, and they'll have to die.
Writing during the school week is tough. I can't wait for the weekend. Plus the gods of nanowrimo decided to have my school get an early day on Friday, and my speech will be over by then so... Noveling time! (But right now I've got sooo much homework! )
@Xandy: That's a great idea! I should carry around a picture for my novel. After all, "pictures are worth a thousand words."
Oh. Is that what you meant Squid, when you said you kept on thinking that a picture was equal to 1k?
I'm going to give myself some crazy goals.
1. Get to 20k by Friday!
2. Get to 50k by Sunday! Even if it kills me!
Oh! Justgotagreatideaforasceneinmynovelgottogonowbye! _________________

41k goals are in sight. As is that weird light...
Edit1: Haha, the NaNo counter chucks out 1,500 words. I was hoping for a short epilogue. _________________

Oh yeah, why don't we all post our first sentences? Those are always interesting to read. Here's mine:
| Quill wrote: | | As I write this, I sit in a hospital. |
Something else to talk about, is anyone experiencing any physical pain, due to or increased by nanowrimo? I have the usual shoulder pain. I also have sciatica. In order to avoid both of those problems, I moved a cushion into my room and stand on my knees while I type. Now my knees are getting sore.
Also, I have 10k written for YWDI30D. (I want a shorter title!) And 4k written for that other story.
I like writing the story in day's, and writing only one day at a time. I think there's a nice rhythm to writing it that way. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow though. I think Belle is going to show up at school. Ah, the chaos that'll cause.
Oh yeah, Belle has been shown to own a shovel. Hmm... _________________

My first sentence is so boring. :') Yours is like, "Well, now how did you end up there?"
| Quote: | | According to the Prophecy of Crystallia, all things happened due to the events in which Lady Fate, the woman who could manipulate fate, saw them. |
For pain...my shoulders and fingers are taking a bit of a beating, especially since I hadn't typed for five months until two days before NaNo. >_>
Lost a lot of motivation upon realizing something today. I'll hopefully stop being an idiot and hit 20k tonight. _________________

I'm too tired to see if it is grammatically correct, but I think it's not, but here is my first sentence:
| Quote: | | The elevator opened up behind me as I glared down at the wires in his hands, twisting them around in my fingers trying to look for the one that was broken. |
I kinda started in third person so I quickly edited it - yes, I EDITED BE QUIET - to get it to first person, and it got kinda weird.
And I fail, but that's another matter entirely. P:
Bah, my motivation died this morning. I kind of tried pressing on, but I'm really...not sure anymore. I think I need to take a shower and figure out what I'm going to do from there. I went with my mom to the doctor's office so she could get some blood taken, and I sat in the waiting room with Character Traits, reading up on murders because I want to write Junction (Junk) instead.
WHICH...brings me to a question.
Could anyone recommend some really good books that give tips on writing murderers? Something really detailed about different reasons people murder? I have a feeling what I've got is pretty good, but I'm always nervous I'm not portraying something accurately. There are all types of murders, I know this, but it would be an interesting read. o.o;
And so...I'm at 43k or so, I think, although I haven't bothered updating NaNo since Trashmere is making me angst. P: _________________ MushyK -> Cal

No writing done here today. Anyone else just feel like a brick wall just smashed their main character? (I'm sorry, Kenny).
I don't know what happened. I was so motivated, and now it's just gone. Nothing even bugged me, it just...happened. I am going to press on, I just...need some inspiration. _________________
