So, does anyone actually know anything about phpBB stuff? I don't, but I think I might've figured out the issue with the account verification and PM notification problem. If someone could confirm/deny, that'd be helpful since I can then at least try to pass the info on to Namco. XD Anyway, I'm tracing the problem back to about September 10th, which is exactly when we were moved to the new server (there're several zero posters a little bit before that too, but I'd attribute that to the constant crashes in August, plus there're other posters in the 1-30 range from around that time who I don't recall needing to activate manually). So, I was wondering, is it possible that the tales@namcoreg.com admin e-mail address died with the old server or something? Right now, the SMTP e-mail settings are as follows:
Admin Email Address: tales@namcoreg.com
Email Signature: Thanks, Tales Administration
Use SMTP Server for email: No
So, is this a potential issue? I imagine the problems we'd always had in the past were e-mail provider-specific since I know Yahoo and some other providers don't like phpBB, but this time, it's a universal problem. _________________

Well, after five or so e-mails to Namco Bandai about this, I got this back:

We have forwarded your message off to our website manager to look into. Unfortunately we haven't received a response as of yet, but will update you once we hear back.
Please feel free to contact us again in the future as the need arises. |
Sooo ... nothing yet. _________________

The beginning and end are always automated, I guess to ensure that the note sounds official and appropriate. The middle part is the section they typically type out. _________________
