For those who don't know, "Voice of Character Quest Vol. 2" is the second half of the drama CD for Legendia's CQ's. I recently purchased it because it contains two discs: the first is the second half of the drama, and the second disc has music from the game that wasn't on the Tales of Legendia Soundtrack. After listening to it a few times, I decided to type of a tracklist for all of those interested.
1. Laid Back Lady~ Pink Version - An alternate version of Laid Back Lady (known as Big Sister Honwaka on the OST), the theme music for Grune. It has a few vocals and sound effects mixed in, but it's basically the same song. It wasn't in the sound test in-game.
2. Bandit Holidays - The music that plays in the lower levels of the Bandit's Lair. One of my favorite tracks from the game, personally.
3. Attack - This, I believe, is a new or unused track. It sounds like it could be used for the charge on the Bridge at the end of the Chapter 4, or an unused theme for the terrors, but I personally think that it is an unused battle theme. It wasn't in the sound test in-game.
4. Broken Wings - The song that plays during various points of sorrow in the game, mostly notably Walter's death.
5. Strong Feelings - The song that first plays when you meet Maurits inside of the Village of the Ferines. It was rarely used afterwards, but its a great track nonethless. One of my favorites.
6. Bloodstained Throne - Song that plays after Shirley accepts Nerifes and takes the throne at Mirage Palace. Ominous, but good.
7. Betting Life - This song is what plays in the FMV where Stella sends out her Teriques to stop the second firing of the Nerifes Cannon. The version used in-game was the choir repeating until the end; this is the full version. It wasn't in the sound test in-game.
8. The Scallop Dance - This is the song for the Oresoren Village and is used as Jay's theme. I personally love this track since it's so peaceful, it's one of my top favorite.
9. Farewell - This is the alternate version of "Funeral March" from the OST. This song first plays after Fenimore's death and before Shirley accept Nerifes at the Alter of the Sea. It wasn't in the sound test in-game.
10. Concerto of Empty Time - The theme for Shwartz. Nice, eerie track.
11. Next to You - An alternate version of "Melfes~Shining Blue" from the OST. It's much better to be honest. It wasn't played in game, so it's a new or unused track.
12. Ancient Capital - I can't recall if this was played in game or not, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't. It's am abriged version of "Ancient Ship" and " The Prayers Become Power" from the OST. It sounds like it should've been played right when you enter the second part of the Wings of Light (when "Ancient Ship" begins to play).
13. Lonely Night - The song that plays during dire/sorrowful situations.
14. The Scallop Song - The song that the Oresoren sing after the party defeat the Long Long Demon. This is the original Japanese version, so the...erhmm...."lyrics"......are a tad different (the Oresoren had a different name in the Japanese verison). It wasn't on the sound test in-game.
15. Enemy - The first of the Bantam Bouncer tracks on the album. I remember hearing it, but I can't remember at what point in the game it was used. This is the original Japanese version. It wasn't on the sound test in-game.
16. Soldier - The second Bantam Bouncer track on the album. This is the song that Isabella sings at the beginning of the Character Quests when the Arena is unlocked. This is the original Japanese verison. It wasn't on the sound test in-game.
17. Hotarubi - This is the instrumental version of "Hotarubi" that plays various times in-game. Even without the vocals, this song is on par to its vocal counterparts.
18. Ooh, Come On! - The gag theme that plays a lot during the game, most frequently with Norma.
19. Morning on the Ranch - There is a song on the sound test in-game which has this name, but this personally sounds new to me (I don't recall hearing it in-game. I'll have to double-check.
20. Unending Mist - The song that plays when the party has to deal with the Mist during the character quests and with various other evil/sorrowful events of the game.
21. Hurry! - The main boss theme of Legendia.
22. Fireflies in Shadow of Leaves - A song used for calm/reminiscent moments in the game.
23. Creeping Shadow - The song used for really dire situations (a prime example being the scenario with the Egg Bear at the beginnning of the CQ's).
24. More Jam for Toast - Mimi Baker's theme, and the song used in the Bakery.
25. Sweat Dreams Tonight Too - The song that plays in Werites Beacon during the night.
26. Oooh, Whatever - The slower version of "Oooh Come On!" that usually plays after the high point of a gag in order to cool the atmosphere down.
27. Good Night - The music that plays when resting at an Inn.
28. Unclosed Feelings - The music that builds tension before a boss fight. One of my favorite songs in Legendia because it is a remix of "Seeking Victory" and it does its job so well in getting you ready to fight.
29. The Man in Red Armour - The boss theme for Vaclav Bolud. This is not the version that plays in-game, it's the orchestrated version of the song (similar to how Seeking Victory and Battle Artist have orchestrated versions on the OST). At first I liked the game version better, but now I actually like this one more (the same happened to me with the two versions of Seeking Victory and Battle Artist as well).
30. Tender Hand - The song used for sorrowful/character growth scenes. Really nice track overall.
31. Sacrificial Lamb - I can't give an example of where this song plays, but it is in the game and on the sound test. I guess I'll say it plays during judgemental/serious events.
32. Awakening - Another one of my favorite tracks. This song plays during the FMV where we see the Bridge of the Legacy rise from its slumber. It's short, but very powerful. It wasn't on the sound test in-game.
33. Celsius - I'm not sure if this song plays when you first meet Celsius (I think and assume it does), but all it is is the song "Let's Talk" (theme of Grune and the Summon Spirits) with one voice singing instead of the entire children's choir. I like it as much as the original. It wasn't on the sound test in-game.
34. Pheremone Bombers Theme #1 - This is the song that the Bantam Bouncers (known as the Pheremone Bombers in the Japanese version) sing in the very beginning of the game when you meet them. This is the original Japanese version. The English version is in the sound test in the english version of the game.
35. Pheremone Bombers Theme #2 (Voice Parts) - This is from the second time you meet the Bantam Bouncers (i'm guessing, i'm not sure). It wasn't on the sound test in-game. It's the original Japanese version.
36. Pheremone Bombers Theme #3 - This is the song Curtis sings with the Oresoren and Norma after returning from the Alter of the Sea after Shirley accepted Nerifes. This is the original Japanese version, and its not on the sound test.
37-40. Pheremone Bombers Theme (#4-7) (Voice Parts) - The next three tracks are various clips of Curtis from succeeding parts of the game (in other words, theme #5 comes after theme #4 in-game, and so on). I can't really distinguish where they play in-game, since these are the original Japanese versions. These weren't on the sound test in-game.
41. Melfes~Shining Blue (game cut version) - This is the exact same song as Melfes~Shining Blue, but it starts at the climax of the song. It does play like this in game: right after the games opening FMV, it begins at the title screen. Surprisingly, I think this was on the sound test.
That's all of it. I personally found the investment worth it, since I love most of these songs. Ironically, this still doesn't complete all of the music from Legendia. The song that plays inside of the Cradle of Time the English versions of the vocal tracks are still missing.
But hey, I'm satisfied. |

Phew its been awhile.
I recently started a Youtube account and decided to post a little music while I fixed my video capture equipment. One of the soundtracks I put up happens to be this one.
Take a look and appreciate the material. Masaru Shiina needs to come back to Tales man... =/ |

Oh wow, this is a pretty old thread. Ah well, it's been revived.
So outside of the English vocal songs, and that Cradle of Time song... this actually completes Legendia's soundtrack?
If so, I think... ahem... sharing it with others... via mediafire... would be nice.

Well, including the ones you mentioned, theres the Rainy Night song (the somber violin solo) and the midi versions of the battle themes, not to mention the victory theme and the defeat theme. I'm posting all of the FINAL leftover tracks on my youtube as I come by them in the game (working on a boss run). But yea, that about wraps up the music...
And...erm...*cough*...i suppose I can...uh...>_>............upload it to mediafire, if mortimer's link doesn't work for ya. |
