|
|
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of things:
1. Where is the easiest place to get the Philosopher's Stone? (Please, please don't say Gladsheim!!)
2. For the King of Monsters title, do I have to have one of every kind of monster in storage? Or do I just evolve everything until I get a 100%? How does this title work?
3. Does anyone have a list of skits? How can I get a 100% on this?
Thanks in advance peeps! |

are there only two? I got the one in cape fortress, remembering the right order is a pain in the butt but I got it. Can anyone list where to get more? And the stuff to make ALL the monster statues?
Ugh, I also can't get the stupid centurion skills/mystic artes thing to work. I mean I hold B with the red meeter full while preforming an arcane arte just like the help says and I get NOTHING! I empty the TP meter nearly every time trying to get it to work and it hasn't yet EVER! And it's really getting annoying cause I do the normal sync thing that takes up half the meeter and THAT works every freaking time!
This's all the Wii and English version of the game BTW...if it helps. _________________ My fictions are a bit unorthadox, but that's cause I am too. I make crosovers often that may confuse fans. Anyway I love these games! (why else would I be here...) |

He mentioned that you can steal from the Giganto monsters in Gladsheim. Just fight the Archdemon enemies there and steal from the deformed Ghosts, Plants, Bats using Roaring Phoenix. It will display "Stole Philosopher's Stone!" when you are successful. Gladshiem also gives out Statues in the higher level chests, but its purely luck.
Are your Centurion Skills on? If you don't have them equipped in your "Skills" menu (under the "Equip" menu), then your skill won't be attached to your Arte. The arte automatically changes to the equipped element, so no holding on "B" is required. Same thing with your Mystic Artes. If "Special" isn't turned on, then no matter how many times you use an Arcane Arte and hold "B", it will not activate. Equipped Skills do take up SP points. If you did try all of this then well... something's wrong with your game. |

If I recall correctly, I got some Philosopher's Stones from treasure chests during Quests. _________________

I was gonna say there can't be just two, but yeah I finally figured it out a couple days ago. You have no idea how stupid I felt when I did. But that's only cause I went through the whole game the first time around without it. I never even noticed the skill option on the equip thing cause I always pressed the a button right away.
Umm, quick question about the elemental grid. How come when you use an elemental skill more than three times it changes your sync element, at least on the grid I mean. The rest disappear unless it's another element. My guess is so you can't cheat to use the more painful sync moves?
Oh yeah, not sure if anyone's figured this out yet. But if you hold B during Emil's mystic arte and your sync element or more than two on the grid are light. You'll do that Ain Sulf Aur thing (Emil's OMG arte from the cinimatics) at the end of it. It kills your tp gadge, but it's still cool to watch though. Sometimes you'll do it randomly just cause of holding b, but most of the time it happens when light is on the grid in more than two spots counting yours.
BTW does beating Richter in the casino after you fight marta's dad do anything for the story? Cause I whooped him but good the other day and was curious cause it had the same cinimatic afterward.
EDIT: I would also like to know which of the two tales of games coming out are the wii one. But that's about all I need to know. _________________ My fictions are a bit unorthadox, but that's cause I am too. I make crosovers often that may confuse fans. The elemental grid is made up of one major (big circle) and five minors (small circles). Having three of same minor element will change the major to match. It's not "stopping" you from doing anything, as once the major is the set you can change all the minors to the same element. You need that one matching major to catch monsters.
Most people here know about Ain Soph Aur. It's a Mystic Arte extension. It doesn't require the elemental grid at all. The only really unusual thing about it is that Richter automatically counters it.
Beating those kinds of fights (where the story continues regardless of whether you win or lose) is usually just a matter of extra experience and drops. _________________

Yeah he did that and I was like WHAT? lolz Of course it SHOULD be kind of obvious, I mean he does counter it in the cinimatics with the SAME move. I'm just glad it doesn't hurt you as bad as the real mystic arte for Richter.
Anyway it's kinda lame you can't get more than 9999 max hp or tp cause you keep leveling up ether way until one hundred. It's also kinda lame that those fights don't matter, cause it's a pain in the but to beat whoever it is usually. Experiance is nice, but it'd be cooler to have two stories instead of just three endings(including game over as one) due to those last three fights. I think I'm going to beat Loyd and Marta and let Ratitosk emil win in his head this time just for the heck of it. Cause I got the cornball "good" ending without realizing it on the first try. ( I hate sounding like zelos but...) I mean come on, does the guy ALWAYS have to get his girl back or the other way around? -_- I mean even Richter doesn't exactly "die" in the end ether, he just get's locked up in a burning inferno for thousands of years. it's so lame after all that build up don't you think?
Sombody around here said something about playing tales of phantasia as one of the endings. Umm...any real evidence of that crazy talk? _________________ My fictions are a bit unorthadox, but that's cause I am too. I make crosovers often that may confuse fans. I dunno, the satisfaction of beating a fight that could literally annihilate an amateur player in a handful of seconds is something, not to mention it shows that battling requires more skill than button-mashing. It's not like the first Symphonia didn't have such fights.

It doesn't work like that. Not only would you not get the Emil vs Ratatosk fight in that first case, its outcome doesn't affect anything other than a few lines from Ratatosk. Furthermore, the "bad ending" is more of a game over than anything else; you don't save or go to the GRADE Shop.

Personally? No. While it's satisfying to beat a villain you're truly angry with, it's also nice to have an antagonist who's merely struggling for his goals as much as the protagonists are. Besides, it's not as though no one died over the course of the game.

Crazy? ToS was created as ToP's sequel. Phantasia is about 4000 years in the future. A certain aspect of DotNW's ending marks the difference between the way mana works in ToS and ToP. It wouldn't be a direct follow-up, but it is an eventual one. _________________

Interesting, I was kinda disapointed that it wasn't a real ending though. Maybe I'll let Ratitosk win in the second fight now. Cause that's the only other one I haven't seen yet. I'm still wondering which of the two new games is for the Wii. It sucks that it's only for playstation(if there's only one) cause I don't feel like spending 600$ on one game. What, Nintendo don't got the nerve to finish what it started?
And I meant that at the end you play ToP the next time around as one of the games in the same one. That's the impression someone gave me anyway. _________________ My fictions are a bit unorthadox, but that's cause I am too. I make crosovers often that may confuse fans.
