Fluffy oneshot time! Originally this story was about a reflection of Yuri's vigilante actions during the game, and once I get an idea, I don't lose it until I use it. Hopefully the pairing hints are enough to pass it as a fic, you know?

"So this is our son?"

"Yes." Estelle answered, her eyes half-closed. She was tired from the birth, it was noticeable in her voice. So she was still under the bed covers.

Yuri was holding onto their new little life in his arms, and he still couldn't believe it was here. Wrapped up in blankets to stay warm, his tiny hands were curled at his chin, and he was completely asleep.

"He's got your eyes, you know." Yuri noticed when the baby was still awake.

"But look at his hair, that's certainly your hair. And your cheeks, too." Estelle pointed out.

"Yeah. . ." Yuri trailed.

"He's going to be a handsome man when he gets older," Estelle smiled, "Just like his father."

The new father chuckled, "Well, maybe he will."

Estelle was quick to notice the infant was immediately huddling up to Yuri, "Oh Yuri! He's cuddling to you!" He likes you already."

"That's probably because I'm warm." He notioned, but Estelle ignored that.

When Estelle yawned, Yuri said, "Maybe you should get some rest. You sound tired."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She agreed, "Maybe when I wake up, we can give him a name."

"You're naming him. I'm bad at those sort of things." Yuri joked, and laughed with Estelle at it. After a quick kiss, Estelle took the covers over herself, and went to sleep fairly quickly. She had to have been exhausted.

Yuri went towards the window, and sat at the sill, holding his son in his arms.

Their life had been a whirlwind for the past two years, mostly for Estelle. When she abdicated herself from competition for the throne, and even removed her position in nobility, Yuri couldn't turn her down, since he suspected she did all that to be with him (as Flynn also assumed). And eventually, marriage came around, or as Yuri described it, "going in, saying our vows, and leaving," to which Estelle scolded him by reminding him that they had dinner with friends after that.

When she first told him she was pregnant, he actually took it in a calmer manner than she thought. He just shrugged and said it would've been inevitable. In the months when it became more obvious, he didn't seem to falter either, though she suspected he had doubts at being a father, like any sane man.

Now it was finally here. Taking a good look at the child, Yuri smirked at the fact he had his hair, "Can't imagine a boy with pink hair."

Then he resumed looking out the window. The flower petals raining from the giant tree reminded him he was in Halure. Estelle liked the town very much, so Yuri decided to try and have Estelle here when she'd eventually be in labour, thinking it might help her relax a bit when it did happen.

Repede, meanwhile, laid down in front of the door, probably to keep anyone else from getting in. Yuri personally wondered how the new kid's presence would affect the dog: while Repede did like kids (who liked dogs, at least), Yuri had never seen him around infants, and knowing how infants behaved around animals. . .

Hopefully, Repede would be quick to adapt to the baby. He certainly did adapt to when he and Estelle got married, so maybe that would apply again.

Yuri sighed, when he got thinking about another topic,

"This is kind of ironic," He thought to himself, turning his attention back to his son, "I killed people with these hands, and yet I helped to make a new one.

"I'm still an outlaw, and I could be taken away anytime." He started muttering, "But those I stained my hands with. . . shouldn't have been able to get away with what they did, even with all their power, even if they were just puppets."

Despite all the overall dark tones that Yuri was referring to, he didn't see the infant cower. Rather, he just cuddled closer to him.

"And yet you know I would never attack you," Yuri chuckled in a light tone, "You're my little guy, and I couldn't hurt you."

He returned to his serious tone, lifting the baby closer to himself, "I would never let anyone hurt you or your mother. If they wanted me, they wouldn't get near you with me around."

Yuri's mouth changed to a small smile, one that a casual viewer might interpret as a smirk, "Seriously. Thank you." He quietly mumbled, thankful for the child's instant love and trust in his father.

Estelle started making a few subtle motions.

Now Yuri smirked, "Look's like mommy is waking up," eyeing his son, "Do you want to see mommy?" Regardless, he stood up and went to Estelle, with their new life in his arms.

I've been waiting for someone to make a story like this since it was inevitable. ^^

Awww! I finally got to read a baby story with them, XD.

I'm glad to see you slightly brought up the whole pink-haired kid thing. I would really feel bad for Yuri if a son of his inherited the pink hair (but it's not likely if you figure genetics).

I've also known anime guys with pink hair, but again you'd have to factor in genetics.

If Yuri did not have black hair/a dominant hair color, then a son could have pink hair.

In fact, if the same thing happened with Flynn and Estelle, they'd be more likely to have a son with pink hair because blonde is a recessive hair color.

Wow, I took that portion of Biology way too seriously...
