Seriously... except for Shinning Bind and MAYYYBE Decus Hi-Ougi (because it's funny) all Hi-Ougi in DotNW are lame...

Why do people like Radiant Roar?
First time I saw it I thought there was going to be more to it.
-Marta builds up our expectations with her cheesy incantation which was a giant bucket of lol.
-She then gets her cut in just before we assume that something amazing is going to happen.
-Then she shouts some the name of it that sounds like she is straining her voice on "Roar".
-Then she just jumps in the air and thats that.

BORING.

Gotta go with Ain Soph Aur. The whole arte (meaning Devils Hellfire too) has saved me a few times and Emil's laugh is just awesome.

A lot of them were really "shiny" and I liked the shinyness....

Anyway....I liked maybe one part of each Mystic Arte. As for Decus' Mystic Arte, my first reaction was WTF. Then I started to laugh because that was a just plain random idea for a Mystic Arte. I mean seriously, love as the power behind a mystic arte? And the letters actually hurt you too... -_- that one will definitely stick in my mind for awhile.

- kinda liked how "pretty" for lack of a better word, Sheena's looked. Plus, I found it quite useful.
-Lloyd's bored me somewhat.
-Regal's bored me to death; Anise's Final Fury looked better imo.
-Genis' wasn't half bad either. Sure it was an amped up version of the spell in the first game, but it wasn't butchered so I can live with that.
-Raine's Sacred Shine was very shiny to say the least.
-Colette's looked nice and wasn't too bad either.
-Devil's Hellfire plus Ain Soph Aur was nicely done. I especially liked Emil's cut-in picture. I haven't seen the green eye Emil version yet though.
-Raidiant Roar was useful, but the only part I liked in that whole arte was when she was up in the air with her weapon spinning quickly and time seem to slowdown. For some reason I enjoyed that.
-I liked Zelos' too, it wasn't bad to say the least.
-Presea's just plain disappointed me. Hers was the only Mystic Arte that made me frown. I expected a little more, but there was nothing atfter she held her hand to her chest.

I think I'll go with Emil's Devil's Hellfire+Ain Soph Aur. I think I liked this one the most.

Regal's Final Fury. Despite how absurd and lame it is, it's just too funny because it's cinematic.

I don't think it would be fair to choose just one....so here's my list of favorites.....somewhat in order

Sturm und Drang
This mystic arte has to be the best in the game. It shows that namco still has some imagination left in them, even if it is corny. It's just epic on so many levels, and the "Alice!" is good in both languages. The power of love FINALLY works!!!

Shining Bind
I used to hate all glyph mystic artes, but i eventually grew accustomed to them, NO THANKS to Shining Bind. As my appreciation for Tales grew, so did my appreciation for Shining Bind, and now I don't mind it. This version, though, does it justice it deserves imo. Symphonia 1's and Vesperia's were nice and flashy, but I think this one captures the epic scale of the move the best. Not to mention it hits the entire field <3. (the "incantation" is kinda meh though).

Devil's Inferno + Ain Soph Aur
Like Strum und Drang, this one shows Namco can still make original mystic artes. The cut-in is great, both voice actors for Emil do a great job, and its just nice overall. <3 Ain Soph Aur.

Towering Inferno
The motion capture looks really nice during, and the "pain will only last an intant" line is somewhat epic. I just like the overall feel of it, though the ending could've been a bit better.

Holy Judgment
The camera angles really do help this mystic arte out, and it sounds and looks more grand than the original.

the rest aren't horrible though. >_>
