Yeah, I know there's Mario Kart but so far I've taken an interest in the Racing game genre. After seeing a game like this I've been deadly interested in more racing games.

So Tales forum. Which Racing games should I check out? Driving games are fine too.

Burnout was the only racing game of late that I've enjoyed besides Mario Kart, so I suggest that. Dunno if the newest one is as good as the one I played though.

I hate racing/driving games, but I actually liked Pure and Burnout Paradise, up until they got stale a couple of months later. The new, free DLC for B.Paradise is always a plus though. Pure is great; would be much better if I had Live.

F-Zero and Wipeout HD come to mind too, but I never did play any of them (besides F-Zero on the SNES).

I only find enjoyment from them at arcades only. Mario Kart is an exception.

Enjoy~

I really like F-Zero's style of racing. Maybe its just the music that does it for me coupled with EXTREME SPEED.

But yeah other than that and Mario Kart, I find racing games are boring...

F-Zero. Not only is it great fun, but it has awesome music. You can't really go wrong with any of them, though GX is the best (and also **** hard).

I hate racing games because they're so addictive, but at the end of my session I feel like I've wasted a ton of time...

However, games like Diddy Kong Racing or Rush 2049 or Burnout Paradise have various collectibles, event types and specific goals and checklists so there's more to them than merely racing. Those 3 are the racing games that I truly recognize as great.

I'm sure there are others I've enjoyed, but I those 3 are always first to come into my mind. It's truly a shame that DKR's DS port was so shoddy.

The Extreme-G series will be my all-time favorite (serious) racing series (Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart are my lulzy fun tiem racing games).

I'd recommend Extreme-G 2, aka XG2, which is my favorite in the series, and for the N64. Extreme-G 3 (for PS2, GC, and Xbox; and thus, much better looking) is good too, but not as hectic as XG2 in terms of the fighting and weaponry. Extreme-G 1 is very good on its own, but it doesn't compare to later installments in the XG series. Extreme-G Racing Association is the only game I haven't yet played, but it seems to be a combination between the nice graphics of XG3 and the super fun gameplay of XG2.

Oh gosh. Yeah I'll have to second Xtreme-G.

Also, Aero Gauge. Crazy stuff really, since it's about futuristic flying vehicles, so you can move above or below the "track" instead of side-to-side along it. 'Course, you move faster the closer you are to the ground, and areas such as tunnels will make you follow the path strictly, so some tracks are played as a typical racer's would be, should you see some "pro" doing this on The YouTubes, now you know what's going on. It isn't feasible on most tracks, though, which is why I consider it unique.

You can also play as floating N64 controllers instead of cars, which is pretty effing awesome.

The only F-Zero game I played was the first one. Yet to try X and GX.

I absolutely love Diddy Kong Racing.

Burnout Paradise, Wipeout, Xtreme-G. I'll check those first.
