Elemental Attributes (Elemental Attack & Resistance)

Key for the charts' element symbols:

Physical (no element)

The attack attribute (AA) is the element the character attacks with when using basic attacks or a non-elemental skill. A character can only have one attack attribute at a time. First accessory will cancel out the weapon; second accessory will cancel or the first accessory.

Defense attribute is how strong the character is against the indicated element. The charts indicate how much defense each item will give to (or take from) the character.

This is how many units of an element you need for each effect:
2~4 Units: Resist: Take half damage when attacked with that element
5~6 Units: Invalid: Take no damage when attacked with that element (no staggering)
7+ Units: Absorb: Recover HP when attacked with that element (no staggering)
0~1 Units:: No effect
Less than 0 Units: Weak: Take double damage when attacked with that element

You can check a character's attack and defense attributes by looking on the second page of the character's status screen (page down with C-stick).

Added Damage to...

With this effect, you will do 12.5% more damage to the indicated catagory of monster. Check the Monster List (upper right corner) to see which monster is in which catagory. Some are obvious, while others (especially bosses) are not what you'd expect.

Regeneration

"Small HP Regen" means you will recover 1% of your max HP every six seconds, and "Large HP Regen" means you will recover 3% of your max HP every six seconds. The numbers are the same for TP regen.

These items do stack, so feel free to go around recovering crazy amounts of HP/TP.

Other Info

Items that will increase the amount of Gald or EXP do not stack. They can still be used with the exskills that have this effect, but they usually add rather than multiply.

I noticed a mistake in the Rings section. The Resist Ring weakens you to Physical Attacks. So there should be a (Strength) X2 symbol in the DA Down Column for the Resist Ring. Also, the Reflect Ring increases elemental Defense by 2 not 1. So it should look like this: (All elemental symbols)X2 in the DA Up column.

I'm wondering: how do you use rising falcon and grave blade if lloyd has no fire or earth weapons?
what abot colletes ice hammer? her lack of ice weapons makes that kind of improbable...

I think you've either missed some elements/weapons or something is seriously up with the guide I use.

Hyper Gauntlets don't seem to speed up my attacks(Zelos attacks and there is no difference in speed?)
