Hey all, psyched to get to play ToS:DotNW this late fall/winter but I've been watching some videos and I've gotten curious about how the new U Attack works along with the element grid.
Here's what I understand to be true so far:
-The Unison Attack takes half the bar under the character's status pics(well duh...)

-The U Attack will be executed by Emil if you're playing as him or Marta if you're playing as her

-A monster cast a spell if their element appears on the element grid

-The monster will use one of the game's elemental mid spell if their element appears once, a high spell if it appears twice and a special, more powerful spell if it appears three times

-Any playable ally will assist you with their own attack(s) if their element appears at least once on the grid, be it the field's or one of the sub elements

-Having two monsters of the same element will not cause the spell to appear twice BUT having a monster(or two) of the same element and a playable character WILL allow them to cast the spell and have the character use their U Attack move

-Using the U Attack with Emil or Marta and having the field's main element match the user's(Dark for Emil, Light for Marta) and having the other character's element(so Light if you're using Emil, Dark if you're using Marta) on the grid as a sub element will innate a special U Attack with the two

That's all I know about the U Attack, please correct me on it if I am wrong
but here are my questions regarding the U Attack
-If anyone but Emil or Marta triggers it will the game use the character's U attack or have whoever's in the first slot use it?(It just sounds odd to have the screen go dark, the enemy stand still while Raine uses Revitalize or Colette casts Holy Song)

-Can all playable characters assist at the same time if their elements are on the wheel(eg; Have Ice, Water and Light on the wheel then innate the U Attack with Emil and have Absolute, Divine Sabre and Revitalize go off from the 3 others)

-Can two or more monsters of different elements both use different spells if they both have their elements on the grid?

-Is there any bonuses to having two monsters of the same element contribute?

Thanks in advance

The Special U attack is called Ars Nova, and I think (not confirmed) that you need to have the "Special" skill equipped.

You can't trigger it if you're not controlling Emil or Marta.

I think only one character can assist (besides, it's only one spell, even with two different element monsters)

See above.

I don't know... maybe the attack is stronger?

Uhm... I think some of the guests like Raine can assist because I think I saw her heal during one of the them as a sideeffect or it may be a case of spell interuption.

Yes, they can assist... wait
I understood the question "can more than one other playable character assist ?" as "can 2 or more assist together?". Did I misunderstand?

(Making Raine your assisting character is a good plan : free Revitalize<3)

Well, define together, like if you have Fire, Light and Ice on the grid with your teammates being Genis, Lloyd and Colette, will Genis use Absolute(his independent assist caused by Ice), Colette use Holy Song(Her independent assist, caused by Light) AND Lloyd use Sword Rain>Beast(His caused by wind) or will only one be chosen by the game to use their move?

Since I've seen Regal do his Triple Kick>(dragon stop thing) with two monsters casting Blessed Drops/Saint Bubble together

And does anyone else find it lame that only Emil or Marta can activate it? I know they're supposed to be the focus but its starting to seem like the returning tales characters are really getting ripped off... I mean, the only issue I see is with Raine and Colette but how hard would it be to change their moves to Grand Cross and Divine Sabre when you use them for it... And its not like having just Emil and Marta use it doesn't make it awkward cause it just seems weird when Marta is suddenly alone a good 15 yards back and casts Divine Sabre randomly...
