How did you use the party members? (ToL)

This thread is about two things:

a) Which one is the character you play the most, fully controlled?

1st Position : Senel
2nd Position : Chloe
3rd Position : Shirley
4th Position : Jay
5th Position : Norma
6th Position : Moses
7th Position : Will
8th Position : Grune

b) How did you use the rest of your team?

On my first playthrough, I played as Senel a lot, though I switched with other characters sometimes only to see how much good I was with the characters. Though, I figured out I was only good with three characters and the rest was not easy to control.

Senel kicks some arse, Chloe is seriously a hard hitter and Shirley has a lot of potential as my main healer. I used her to cure people a lot, though she was really annoying to control with the other spells... By the end of the game, she got better moves. Never got to use Will and Norma though, which is sad because they were on my team all the time as pseudo-mages and healers.

Basically, my team was always composed of :

Senel (good for rampages! XD) > Chloe (fast hitter) > Will (Recover, anti-poisons, anti-paralysers, etc...) > Norma (Ressurection + Revive)

By the end, it changed to :

Senel (Lots of dmg pts.) > Chloe (Quick and strong.) > Shirley (Cure) > Norma (Ressurection always helps!)

The other day, I tried to beat Schwartz playing as Moses... It wasn't a great idea... I died in less than a minute, twice. XD

I played as Senel until I got Jay, who I used for pretty much the rest of the game. I did control Norma during some boss battles in order to heal better. I tried everyone else out but I did not use them for long.

I played as Chloe. Senel was fun and vaguely broken, but I enjoyed playing as Chloe more.

My party was Chloe - Senel - Norma - Will for the longest time, but I quickly switched out Will for Grune once she started learning spells.

Thanks to my laziness, I never change character in ToL . . . so, always Senel.

It's been awhile, but I think I used Jay the most because his knife-throw attack allowed me to take my ease at the back of the fight and tap the O button whenever I felt lazy. Everyone else I controlled equally except for Chloe. I always found JRPG swords(wo)men to be boring to play as, plus I heartily disliked her as a character and only kept her in my active parties because I like all of my characters to be at the same level.

I usually either go with Chloe and Senel.

The few times I control Jay and the fewer times I control the casters/Moses for lulz, I seem to ALWAYS accidentally walk on a boss. I usually always manage to get a +2 grade with either Senny or C, but with nyone else it goes from -1 to -5. ):

Jay is somewhat fun. I played Moses a few times and decided that I'll always love Tales Archers from now on because their arrows actually hit. I really like how Shirley sends out her pretty Teriques by waving her pen (though watching is enough I'll admit), blowing bubbles and wacking people with a vase are just as awesome, and I will always at some point in Legendia save somewhere, equip the Pikohan on Will, and go try to kick some ass while getting utterly pwn'd and finally settling for casting instead. ):

...By the way, can you change targets to heal other than yourself when you play as Will/Shirley and use Cure? DD: -never found that out-

I love using the Crystal Eres of Norma and Grune so I pretty much used them always in boss battles. I just don't like how they fight with a straw and some bubbles and an urn. ( blech.. ) so in normal battles, I use either Senel and Chloe.

I've controlled all of the physical attacking brutes, but I control Senel the most by far.

I usually play as Senel. He has an interesting fighting style and is generally fun to use. Occasionally, I will switch him with Jay or Chloe.

I can play as each of the characters fairly well, I got each of their titles and prizes from the arena; so...I guess that's okay. Anyways...I played with Jay the most, because I just find him freaking awesome, and because he was my favorite character. I probably played with Senel least, just cause I can't stand the guy. As for the rest, I took turns in here and there.

The battle system was so completely crap, I really couldn't be arsed to check out the other characters. I mean, why play as another character when all you have to do is MASHX your way through the game to win?

Almost needless to say, I played as Senel, just Senel, and only Senel. I tried out Moses once, but he's just like that bastard from Bible adventures. :'(

Anyone who gets the Bible adventures reference gets points for watching angry video game nerd.
