Alright! go for it Chimoari! A good outline is an awesome thing to have~ I love my outline *huggles it*

It's good to have since that way you don't write yourself into a corner (which I am so very good at doing when I don't have a plan) ~ and they're awesome to fall back on if you're not sure where to go next. As long as you don't get too restricted to your outline~ if you get a really good idea that could really add to your story, don't hold back cause you didn't plan for it ^^

My outline is a little vague at the moment....the beginning makes plenty of sense and one of the main twists is perfect....It's just in-between that I'm having trouble with...

I've found for myself that the best way to do an outline is to start very broad and then do a slightly more detailed version (maybe parts/books), then a still more detailed version (chapters), and sometimes a still more detailed version (events within chapters). Usually by the last, though, it's just a list of things I know I want to happen, and where they should be within the story itself. Wink Does that make sense?

For this, I've currently got it down to 7 "books," but I'm having to be really ridiculously detailed because the story is going to be non-linear, and if I don't have ridiculously intricate notes, I'm worried I'll lose myself in my own narrative contrivances. Laughing

I'm working on character profiles at the moment, though. Smile

My character profiles are pretty much almost done, (I even drawn a few of 'em...) But I'm afraid that I will possibly go off track somewhere...
I need to write my outline down again with a bit more detail...

Oh yes, I know all about outlines. I did a forty paged one once. It was a project for school...

But yes, the big day is in almost a week! Very Happy

I've got about 20 pages of various forms of outline at the moment, but if it gets to 40, I think it's probably time to put it away before it turns into the story itself (in my case, anyway, since I write so small -- I hand write everything). Laughing

I don't have pages upon pages...just a few practise chapters and a couple of notes on how the story progresses....

I'm not entering, but I'll join because I like to help with and discuss stories. I'm currently working on my Original Fiction, Knights of Cyrenia *points to sig*

Well, I got an account, but I don't know if I'll have time to do anything with it. Noveber is gonna be a busy month for me. :/

But, even if I don't get anything done, I'm still willing to help brainstorm, if anyone wants.

And the story I put up on my account (The Path of Light) is one of my original ideas. I was gonna do fanfiction, but none of those ideas would last 50,000 words, but the original one definately will.

P.S. Is it just my computer, or is that site really slow?

Either it's slow, or it's my computer, too.

I was just about to ask the same thing, since it's been slow for me all day. Wink

I'm going to have the same problem with yours. (I'm perpetually about 4 hours into Abyss... Embarassed )
