Yes, still waiting for it, because he's being a half-wit about it. Didn't write the code down anywhere, and now his AR is all messed up. -_- and he needs to extract the .dol file from it to send to me, which he says has the code in it.
And, I'm being a lazy good-for-nothing with the mapping and poses. Can't bring myself to do it. However, the replacement USB cord for my mp3 player came in yesterday, and I'm converting all the music to fit on it, so I may get the inspiration to pick it back up.
... If I could edit the textures for their outfits and such, I'd make Halloween textures for them. :( It would've been fun.
EDIT:
Thanks to Yume Hanabi, we have some answers to the beta voice files.
The "Judgment Gate" of Kratos' is actually Kvar's. Kvar and Kratos' Seiyuus sound very much alike. However, Kvar does not use this in the GC version as far as we know.
Genis' chant is actually for Meteor Storm. Can take that out of the zip file.
Colette's chant IS unused, and I added what she's saying to the original "beta techniques" post on the first page.
Colette's sound file that sounds like "Rustia" that we thought might be "Listra", is actually a normal tech as well. Colette's techniques were changed between JP and ENG-- It's actually saying "ruunusutea" (Rune Steer) which is one of her "Sattilite" techs. _________________

Is there a Action Replay Code or a summon tech on Ps2 for Sheena for summoning Verius? (there's a sidequest in the guide)
Verius said, it doesn't do connections with summoners. And after I talked to Verius I looked for the techs, sheena was NOT able to summon corrine, nor anything else.
so:

There IS a code for the NTSC to point a beta tech called "Summon: Heart" that's obviously Verius to Sheena's technique palette. However, it doesn't work. I haven't tested it myself, but there's two things it could do:
1: Sheena will be stuck in an endless casting stance until the battle is over. Most likely, anyone else who casts while she does will also be stuck. By some off-chance that she finishes it, the game will crash.
2: Instant game crash.
However, I don't have a working AR for PS2, so I don't know if there's one for that. Besides that, no one has really laid their hands on the PS2 version for hacking purposes. If I can find that teacher eventually, I'll try my hand at it, as it's definitely worth it. (Though I'll probably need someone like Yume by my side to tell me if anything I find is indeed unused. I can't read Japanese!)
In fact, when I get that teacher, I'm probably going to end up making modifier codes for each version of it, which will be a good breakthrough. Who knows what was on the JP GC disc that was taken from the NTSC/PAL versions? And who knows what might've been added to the PS2 version... Hahahah... <3 Oh, the very thought... _________________

I'm totally bored so i may just hang in this action replay discussion for a while ;D
I didnt know the thread was still as active as this so im back to help all hacking and information etccccccc.

correct. The only reason Zelos has judgment as a spell only available through Action Replay is becasue he has it when he is chosen as a boss option.
And as everyone should know, To their advantage boss's require hardly any casting time.
Thats what got be excited when i chose kratos for the ending. i thought "YAY QUICK JUDGMENTS!"
but no! He just has some hour long chant!
The quickest character able to cast judgment has to be colette.
Actually, most codes used on the PS2 version of TOS are code breaker.
I dont recall many AR ones being made.
Actually gaara, ive seen that video, i PM'd that same person and they told me it was code breaker.
And it wasnt as easy to convert them to action replay, the codes were very weird looking.

ahh sound files. i remember someone on these forums posted a hole collection.
I thought that unused Genis chant was for meteor storm! i wasnt sure though.
If you listen closely, part of what Genis says is what he says in his Hi Ougi chant, which is also interesting.
Even Mithos got his weird sound files. like Stigmata. at first i thought it was hi ougi because it echoed but then i realised all his sound files were echo's.
And from the english sound files. there are some blank ones...
like presea will have a feew techs - blank file - few more texts. but the weird thing is, the files seem to be in order.
Like.. Genis had his first set of spells you learn in the game first, followed to the second, then hius higher spells, followed by the ending hi ougi chant, after the hi ougi chant just lots of grunts and cries from eing Hit LOL.
but in the english voice files, such characters like zelos, raine and presea had blank files where the hi ougi voice file is for other characters.
You can even tell that their hi ougis were put into production since on the text list up there ^^^ .. there are such techs as "Holy Binds" (could be shining bind) Fairy Circle (Raines PS2 Hi Ougi) Eternal Wind (Has a very large TP cost, and is on Preseas tech list when AR is used.
most interesting.

originally, as Kyasarin said - Summon Heart, was an idea for Verius. But it was never put into action, ofcourse maybe originally the idea was for sheena to make a pact with verius, but obviously was never put to action.
She does have a sound file for Aska though.
In the PS2 sound files that is.
I have no idea why they didnt give her the Aska ssummon though.. Aska could have easily appeared in the Luna summon for extra damage. Like Summon - Wind.
But i suppose it does make sense because Luna is the summon spirit that holds the mana link for the two worlds. Aska is basically.. her pet lol.

i still say that.... CB = S**T
i just stopped trying to make it work with backups because CB sucks so even if pray to God it wont work...
i could make work the AR with backups by doing some things i learned... but those things doesnt work in CB for some reason...
and J0 they guy of the videos ignored me... so i have a reason to call him ***** ._.
and no i didnt gave the codes to anyone...
btw if he gave u such codes it would be interesting to have even if i cant do anything with them... (or maybe i can... mwahahah)
PD: if someone wants the "special" AR max just PM me.... blah blah blah... _________________

The tech lists were all on the front page, but I'll replace the links with your post right there, J0, since it's basically 2-in-1. But for the record, I pointed the Holy Binds thing out on the first page when posting a list of all the beta techs that were on your list.
I don't have a working PS2 AR anymore since I was dumb enough to get it off of ebay. It locks up whenever I try to do... well, anything, really. :/ So I'll probably bug one of my friends to let me copy theirs, as there's games that use AR with beta content that I want to see anyway. But I'll look for a Codebreaker. (What I meant by "no one has really laid their hands on it" was that there's not as much as the NTSC version)
Also, the theory on Zelos' Judgment can be proven false as well. The SOUND FILE is there because he had Judgment as a boss. Techniques pointed to bosses and techniques pointed to playable characters are two different things. Now, I can't go through all the coding to ACTUALLY prove this, but I'm using the casting time as a base for this theory.
The casting time for bosses is shortened to less than half their original time, which is shortened more than any item and EX-Gem combo can ever provide. And further, the equipment that they have BEFORE they leave the party to fight you is always the same. Take all of Zelos' equipment away and equip him with the worst sword you have, and he'll still have the same sword and sheild as programmed for that fight. The EX-Gems you put on them will not have any effect on how they fight in the battle, either. And I'm not sure if this is right or not, but the TECHNIQUES that you had them learn might or might not be the ones they use, and I'd have to spend a few hours testing this theory. But the only backup I have for this is the sudden learning of several techniques that they couldn't have possibly had (like if Zelos was too low a level or didn't have enough uses on one tech to learn another-- he'll still use the unlearned tech) should be enough. But even if the techs they use are the current S or T type ones that you had them learn, there could be pointers to put those techs in the enemy's list.
Conclusion: The Zelos, Kratos, Regal and Sheena that we fight are different from the Zelos, Kratos, Regal and Sheena that are in our party.
Sorry for that rant. o_o _________________

Nicely done Judgment-0! That's just what we needed.
| Gaara_77 wrote: | | i still say that.... CB = S**T |
Okay, I'm really gonna disagree with you on this...because:
- CB loads faster than any other device especially if you delete games that you'll never use off the codelist. (ARMAX = slowest).
- CB can use raw code. (Very convenient for modifier codes, but with ARMAX's encryption, you need to reconvert the codes and re-enter the whole things over again).
- CB flawlessly copies game saves every time. ARMAX tends to read/write data too quickly, so it makes errors, and occasionally corrupts save files (in rare cases it corrupts the entire card).
- ARMAX codes take the longest to enter, and also contain more letters/numbers to input than CB/XP/GS/AR codes. The encryption also makes it easier to make mistakes with it.
| Gaara_77 wrote: | | i just stopped trying to make it work with backups because CB sucks so even if pray to God it wont work... |
Are you using Swap Magic for your backups? I use CB with it all the time. To get it to work, you need to have version 6 or higher, and have a Master/Enable/Must-be-on code starting with a 9. That's it. The only other way CB might not work is with a mod chip, in which case you'd need to burn yourself a cracked version (from a torrent).
Anyway from most people who've tried the 3 big devices...
CB>>>GS>>>>>>>ARMAX
If your only reason for bashing CB so hard is because it's not loading backups, well... _________________

OMG i lost days and days messing inside the CB to make it work with them... doing the same i did to the AR...

Kyasarin's theory is indeed correct. Enemy sprites/stats/AI are stored separately from playable characters (or their playable versions), and they typically have different associations to their techs and where they're stored in the game's data (different values). Boss Zelos must have a line of programming to retrieve his Judgment incantation, whereas playable Zelos does not.

u mean... that if i use swap magic (i use swap magic LOLz) i can make the @#-"!*/ CB in backups?.... |
Are you talking about Japanese save files? If so then yes. IIRC, the only bad thing about CB is on a slim PS2 (version 75000x or higher), you can't copy saves to a flashdrive, (Sony did something to the hardware that blocks out the USB ports...thanks Sony >_>). It still works perfectly between memory cards though, even with copy-protected save files (i.e. SO3 BT data).
But as far as booting imported/burned games with Swap Magic, CB does work. (On slim ps2, load CB, input codes, start game, make sure front Key A is out, open the tray, put in SM disc, put in key A, hit X. SM will load and you do everything like normal with it). _________________
