ToP's Translation sounds pretty cool, and stays intact, actually...

Thy dwell amidst the abounding light of heaven!
Thou art at the gate to the underworld!
Come forth, Thunder of the Gods!
Indignation!

It's "I" rather than "Thy"; thy is the possessive form of thou, so it wouldn't make much sense there...

The first is a literal translation, found in Kyo316's Tech translation guide.

To the light that shines like the heavens, hear my call,
To the gates of the underworld, open up and hear thy call,
Come forth, Lightning of God!
This is the end!
INDIGNATION!

That's...Not even close, but it's arguably better than the one in the English Tales of Eternia...

天光満つる所我はあり、黄泉の門開く所汝あり。 出でよ、神の雷! これで終わりです! インディグネイション!
Tenkou mitsuru tokoro ware wa ari, yomi no mon hiraku tokoro nanji ari. Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi! Korede owari desu! Indignation!
I am where heaven's light abounds, you are where the gates to the underworld open. Come forth, thunder of the gods! This is the end! Indignation!

Didn't you miss the "I" in "Ideyo!"? Unless 出 has the reading "Ide" and I didn't know, which is fairly probable since you have never been wrong when we talk -_-

no, in this case 出 has the reading of "i" not "ide", since de is the hiragana beside it

haven't you heard of お出で (oide) when someone ask you to come?
出でよ is the same, just that it's without the "お"

お出で is a polite version of 出でよ

oh, they aren't that bad
imagine what if a whole paragraph has no kanji?
it's going to be so hard to read with plain katakana/hiragana

That was bothering me for ages if you were partially Japanese or not. >_>

True. It'll be hard to read for most Japanese people as well; since the kanjis say the meaning of the word.

It's such a random question, and just one of those things you wonder about, but never really get around to asking. >_>
